Ballaghaderreen have announced their senior management team ahead of the 2025 season.
The trio of Patrick Sharkey, John Mitchell and David McHugh were recently ratified to take charge of the 2024 county semi finalists.
Ballagh lost out to Ballina Stephenites after extra time in last year’s semi final, after what was a very impressive championship campaign.
Patrick Sharkey will lead the team as manager, and comes into the role with coaching experience with the Leitrim senior and u20 football teams, as well as the intermediate team in Louisburgh and Fenagh in Leitrim.
He won u21, junior and senior titles with Ballaghaderreen as a player.
The coach/selector roles go to Mitchell and McHugh.
John Mitchell is a former u21 captain with Ballaghaderreen, winning a county B title, and after 20 years of working in Co Kildare has returned to his home club where he made a great impact as minor manager last year.
David McHugh is one of the county’s youngest coaches, and has been in the role with Ballaghaderreen under Tomas Morley for the past two seasons. He has also coached the senior ladies team in Kilmovee, and most recently the St. Attracta’s senior boys in Tubbercurry.
