Ballinrobe GAA Club have secured a manager for their senior mens’ football team in time for Christmas.
Eoin Hughes will take charge of the South Mayo club, who will be hoping to claim intermediate glory in 2025.
Hughes, a native of The Neale, guided his home club to the county intermediate title in 2019, and takes over from Peter Forde.
Forde brought his home club to the county final of 2023, which they lost to Kilmeena, and suffered defeat after extra time to eventual champions Crossmolina Deel Rovers in this year’s county semi final.
Hughes has included All Ireland county and club title winner Kieran Fitzgerald in his management team.
The Corofin and Galway legend works locally and has been part of the Garrymore senior management team for the last few seasons.
Former Ballinrobe footballers Conor Keane and Ruairi Keane will also be part of their club’s senior management team for 2025.
There are a number of Mayo clubs who are yet to announce their 2025 bainisteoir – with Knockmore recently announcing the return of Ray Dempsey, and Castlebar Mitchels appointing Kevin Filan.
