The rescheduled Connacht Finals of Scór na nÓg were held on Saturday, December 14th, at the Lecarrow Community Centre in County Roscommon. Originally scheduled for the previous weekend in Claremorris, the event was postponed due to Storm Darragh.
Clubs and competitors from across the province gathered in south Roscommon to vie for provincial titles and the chance to advance to the All-Ireland Finals in Monaghan at the end of January.
The competition was intense, with outstanding performances across all categories.
Louisburgh’s Figure Dancing team from Mayo delivered a stellar performance, overcoming strong challenges from Roscommon, Leitrim, and Galway clubs to secure their spot at the All-Ireland Finals. The talented team comprised Jack McDowell, Annie McDowell, Sarah Morahan, Rebecca Ball, Casey Forde, Gracie Weston, Cara Caulfield, and Katie Maxwell.
In the Ballad Group category, Moy Davitts claimed victory, earning their place on the All-Ireland stage. The group included Conor Fox, Niamh Doherty, Shona Fox, Laoise Doherty, and Clodagh Timlin, who impressed both the adjudicators and the audience with their harmonious performance.
The All-Ireland Finals are set to take place on Saturday, January 25th, at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan.
