Charlestown native Shane Moran has been selected as the new manager of the Roscommon minor footballers.
The news has been confirmed by Roscommon GAA, subject to ratification at the next full meeting of the County Committee.
Moran, whose coaching career started out with underage teams in Charlestown Sarsfields, was coach of the Roscommon minors this year under James Duignan.
Now involved with the Roscommon Gaels club, he coached the senior team in 2023, and also the Garrymore senior team in 2021.
Roscommon reached the Connacht minor final earlier this year where they lost to Mayo before being knocked out of the All Ireland series by Kerry in the quarter finals.
