The death has taken place of Stanley Rowe from Ballina who played for Mayo in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s.
Stanley made his senior football debut with Mayo against Meath in 1959, played National Football League final against Derry in 1961. He held all roles in his club Ballina Stephenites from 1974-1998. He was the North Board Chairman from 1993-1995.
Both Mayo GAA & Ballina Stephenites have paid tribute and extended their deepest sympathy to Stanley’s family and friends.
Stanley’s remains will repose at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina this evening from 4:00pm until 6:00pm.
Funeral will arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina on Monday morning 9th September for Requiem Mass at 11:30am followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.
