Roscommon have come to the end of the road in this season’s All Ireland Senior Football Championship.
Davy Burke’s side lost out to Armagh in yesterday’s last eight clash.
As the saying goes, goals win games, with Armagh hitting one in either half to win by six.
The first half goal from Barry McCambridge on 19 minutes put Armagh five up, and as Roscommon started to reduce the margin – disaster struck.
A second yellow for Ruaidhrí Fallon on the stroke of half time reduced the Rossies to 14 so they not only had a two point deficit at half time but the added burden of being a man down.
The Orchard County kept Roscommon at arm’s length for the third quarter of the game before Conor Turbitt put the contest to bed with Armagh’s second goal.
Further scores from he and Oisin Conaty sealed victory as Armagh now head for the semi finals.
