Mayo GAA’s appeal against Fergal Boland’s red card against Roscommon, and subsequent two game ban, has been an unsuccessful one.
The Mayo News have confirmed this afternoon that following the appeal to the GAA’s Central Appeals Committee yesterday, the Aghamore man will continue to serve his ban.
That denies the option of Boland being a late inclusion to this evening’s panel for Mayo’s preliminary quarter final meeting with Derry.
He missed the Dublin game last weekend due to the suspension.
Kevin McStay has named an unchanged team from that that drew with Dublin.
Mayo v Derry throws in this evening in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar at 6:30pm.
The game is LIVE on Midwest Radio with thanks to O’Halloran & O’Brien Construction in the U.K.
Michael D. McAndrew and Martin Carney will describe the action with our coverage beginning at 6:15pm.
