Mayo were leading the game throughout, but dropped their advantage due to a late Roscommon comeback.
Despite not picking up the win, Mayo are in the final thanks to scoring difference.
They’ll now take on Donegal in the final of the competition in Croke Park in two weeks’ time.
Adrian Phillips goaled twice, scoring 2-5 in total.
