A Swinford Native is to make his professional debut in London this weekend.
21 year old Eoghan Lavin, who boxed with Ballyhaunis Boxing Club as an amateur made the decision to hang up the vest and turn to the pro ranks earlier this year.
He will take on Vasif Mamedov in York Hall on Saturday night on the undercard of Sam Noakes v Yvan Mendy.
Noakes and Mendy will box for the vacant EBU European Lightweight title.
Action gets underway from 7pm and Lavin is listed as the second bout on the undercard.
