Mayo have finished up their Allianz NFL Division One campaign with victory over Monaghan.
Matthew Ruane’s 64th minute goal put Mayo back on level terms before scores from Ryan O’Donoghue and Padraig O’Hora sealed victory.
Monaghan were already relegated going into the game, but pushed Mayo all the way and were ahead at half time.
They held a three point lead just before Ruane’s goal, when Kevin Loughran hit the net.
Ruane (1-2) and O’Donoghue (0-5) were Mayo’s top scorers on the day while Darren McHale got the first half goal.
Next up for Kevin McStay’s side is the Connacht SFC meeting with New York in two weeks.
