The club was set up in 2016 by a group of Adults. In 2018 the under age section was set under 10s to under 18s boy and girls.
The underage section started competing in the Mayo Area Basketball league in. 2019 2020 when COVID hit the club had to go into hibernation and returned to compete in the Mayo league in the 2022-2023 season.
The club have over 200 children and about 40 adult players and we held out first basketball academy this season hosted by former Irish international captain Michelle Fahy from Galway.
This is an important development tournament for the club and provides a pathway for Adults to get some competitive action as there is no league for Adults men in Mayo.
