Tony McEntee’s side looked like they were about to snatch a point before a last minute winner from Aaron Griffin.
Sean Carrabine goaled for Sligo in the second half to put them into the lead in a relatively low scoring encounter.
Ultimately, Sligo’s discipline let them down as Luke Towey and Paul Kilcoyne both saw red.
