Mayo have got the better of Galway in this afternoon's Lidl Ladies NFL Division One second round tie.
In a very tight encounter, Mayo were one up at the break thanks to a goal from Lisa Cafferky.
The second half was like the first in the sense that Cafferky hit the net once again and Mayo held on to their one point lead to the final whistle.
Galway had a chance in the dying stages to clinch a draw, but were unable to get a share of the spoils.
Roisin Leonard and Ailbhe Daveron hit late scores for Galway to bring the Mayo lead back from three to one.
A very important win for Liam McHale's Mayo, and their first of the league.
Galway will head into round three yet to pick up a point.
