Life under Brian Finn and Ray Larkin got off to a good start for the Mayo hurlers last night.
They beat Roscommon in their semi final clash in the Connacht Hurling League.
Mayo were three up a the break, leading 0-13 to 1-7 in the Airdome.
The green and red held out for a four point win.
They now meet the winner of Galway’s development side and New York in tonight’s other semi final.
Roscommon await the loser in the shield final.
Both finals are to be played on Saturday.
