A number of players from across the region were involved in DCU’s Ladies Football League Division One title win last night.

In what was describes as a night of horrific conditions, DCU won by ten points.

There were three Mayo players on the panel with Tara Needham (Louisburgh) playing at 11 and Jenna Mortimer (Hollymount) and Fionnuala McLaughlin (Westport) among the substitutes.

Mayo’s Aisling Tarpey (Foxrock Cabinteely) and Maria Reilly (Kiltane) were part of the management team on the night.

Sligo’s Claire Dunne (St Farnan’s) and Jade Lyons (Shamrock Gaels) started the game at right corner back and left half forward respectively.

The Roscommon duo of Aine McGrath (St Brigid’s) and Aisling Hanly (Kilbride) were on the bench.

Leitrim’s Leah Fox (Glencar Manorhamilton) started at right corner forward, with Sarah Reynolds (St Mary’s Kiltoghert) also on the bench.
