Final results of Connacht Cross-Country Senior League were published during the week. There were three Legs - Castlegar, Westport and the final event at Ballymote on November 4.
Mayo AC team won Connacht women’s Club Team competition, ahead of North Sligo AC.
Connacht Athletics officials presented them with their winning medals at Ballymote.
And results also show that Colette Tuohy won bronze in Connacht Athletics masters women o50-65 section.
Competitors had to run in all three legs to win medals.
Congratulations and well done to all – a super talented bunch!
Also on November 4 Mayo AC runners were in action in Corofin and France.
In the popular Corofin Loop (Co Galway) races hosted by Corofin AC, Ray Clarke finished the 10 mile race in 1:10.43, and 2nd o50, while Donna Gallagher ran 1:11.04, 4th woman home place and 1st o40, with Dee Corcoran 8th in 1:14.25, and 2nd o40.
In the 8k race Johnny Cribbin Mayo AC finished 18th overall in a great time 33:02 and 1st o60, and Breege Cribbin ran 42:36, first o60 .
And in France, David Dinsmore ran in the Cross de la Saint Martin at Sorède. It is a 12k trail race with a 350m elevation.
He finished in 1:03.38, 40th overall and 3rd in M6 category.
Well done to those six Mayo AC runners.
