The Kepak Senior Hurling Championship final takes place this weekend in Roscommon.
It’s Four Roads who will take on an Athleague side who will have home advantage.
It took extra time for Athleague to get the better of Oran in the semi final on September 10, finishing strongly with a 3-21 to 1-20 victory.
As for Four Roads, they overcame Tremane on the same day with a more comfortable 3-17 to 0-12 win.
Four Roads will be looking to retain the title they won last year, and claim their 36th in history as the most successful club in Roscommon hurling.
Athleague have 20 titles and last won in 2021.
The last time these teams met in the decider was in 2019, with Four Roads winning by 11 points.
Since the dawn of the millennium, every single Roscommon Senior Hurling final has had at least one of these sides in it, including Four Roads’ eight in a row of titles from 2008 – 2015.
Throw in this Sunday is at 2:00pm.
