Tourlestrane have won the first piece of silverware in the adult men’s championship season in Sligo.
They overcame St Molaise Gaels in Scarden yesterday in the Junior Hurling Championship final.
The championship trophy is named after the late Martin Brennan, whose four sons were all involved in the victorious Tourlestrane team with Ruairi, Diarmuid and Tom all in the starting lineup while Gearoid is part of the management team.
It was also a significant day for St Molaise Gaels in their inaugural year as a senior hurling club to make the junior final.
