Sligo were victorious in their Bank of Ireland Senior League opener on Saturday against the Galwegians.
They ran out 41-12 winners away from home.
In a sun drenched Crowley Park, Diare Byrne, Philip Carter and Brendan Cunningham were among the first half try scorers for Sligo who went in 24-0 up at the break.
Finn Bamber resumed scoring for Sligo after the interval before Galwegians got their first on the board.
Josh Munn crossed over for the home side on 48 minutes, and he got the final try of the game as well after another couple from Sligo.
