Wrexham are in advanced talks with Sligo Rovers with a view to completing a £100,000 deal for goalkeeper Luke McNicholas.
The League Two newcomers added to their Irish contingent last week by making a move to bring in James McClean from Wigan.
And they now have turned to the League of Ireland with a view to strengthening their squad by approaching Rovers with a view to signing McNicholas (23).
The Belcarra, Co. Mayo native became first-choice keeper with the Bit’O’Red last year following the departure of Ed McGinty to join Oxford in the middle of their European campaign.
