Congratulations to all the St Colman's South Mayo athletes (based in Claremorris) who have competed in the National Outdoor Championships over the last number of weekends. A total of 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze were won in various age groups.
Ciana Middleton & Sophie Hawkshaw competed in their first ever National Championship winning Silver in the Girls U9 Turbo.
Kyle Gleeson won Gold in the U12 Long Jump with a fantastic jump of 4.74 just narrowly missing out on the National Record. This was a new PB for Kyle
Mark Wallace also claimed Gold in the U17 Long Jump jumping 6.25m and also getting a new PB. Mark's sister Nina competed earlier this month in the U19 Shot Putt winning Bronze and in Junior winning silver.
Louise King competed in the U23 High Jump claiming Silver and also in the 100m Hurdles winning Bronze. Club mate Niamh O'Neill also ran in the U23 Hurdles with Louise winning Gold. Niamh will compete in the Senior Championship later this month.
