The annual Michael Manning Memorial Dunshaughlin 10k (Saturday evening June 17) is a firm favourite with runners. It was predictably sold out some time ago. It’s a flat course with overall elevation of 32 metres.
Women’s course record holder is Fionnuala McCormack Kilcoole AC who ran 32:08 last year – 28 women under 40 minutes.
Norah Newcombe Pietrese (Mayo AC) was in great form when winning the West of Ireland Women’s 10k recently in Ballina in a fast 36:47.
She took on some of Ireland's top runners in Dunshaughlin and the high class field made for some excellent competition and results.
Norah excelled again in Dunshaughlin with a brilliant new 10k PB 35:29 /35:27 chip, seventh woman finisher and first F40.
