Mayo finish in third place in their All Ireland SFC Group following a 3 point loss to Cork.
A second half masterclass from Steven Sherlock with 1-5 helped the Rebels to come back with a win.
The lead was well exchanged in the first half with Ryan O'Donoghue and Rory Maguire pointing well.
Jordan Flynn rattled off four points from play in the second half before Tommy Conroy hit the net to give Mayo a 1-11 to 0-8 lead.
Sherlock scored from the penalty spot a minute later to bring the game back to three points.
He kicked four more with Chris Og Jones pointing late on to seal the win for Cork, winning out by three.
Rory Maguire and Brian Hurley hit 0-2 each for Cork to add to Sherlock's 1-5.
Ryan O'Donoghue (0-5), Jordan Flynn (0-4) and Tommy Conroy (1-1) all scored for Mayo as well as one for Colm Reape.
Mayo will be in the draw for the last 12 and will be away from home while Cork have home advantage.
