Mayo completed their final group match on Tuesday afternoon facing Carlow and District. Fielding one of the youngest sides ever at this tournament the Mayo girls went ahead through a fine Grace Mulroy goal. Carlow's greater physicality showed as the game progressed although Mayo were most unlucky with the decision that led to the 2nd Carlow goal. An excellent Riona Moynihan header from a Sophie O Donnell corner ended the scoring with Carlow running out 4-2 winners.
Mayo have a rest day today (Wednesday) before facing the winners of Kerry-Clare in a Trophy Semi Final on Thursday.
