Swinford exited the FAI Amateur Shield on Sunday afternoon.
They hosted Usher Celtic in the second round of the competition and it turned out to be a hard fought, tight contest, with neither side conceding in the 90 minutes.
When extra-time failed to produce a goal the matter had to be settled by penalties and it was the visitors who progressed, winning the shoot-out 4-3.
Three matches were played in the league's Friday night fixtures with Straide & Foxford and Manulla enjoying good wins.
Fiona Roache finished off her hat-trick for S&F in their clash with Ballinrobe in the 71st minute. Ava McMahon opened the scoring in Foxford after 20 minutes and had a second goal before the break.
Christine Walsh struck five minutes into the second half for S&F, with their visitors eventually losing out 6-0.
Conn Rangers were on their travels to Manulla where the home side enjoyed a good 5-0 win. The ever-reliable Jess Nolan opened the scoring on 14 minutes and was provider for Mary Reilly on the 28th.
Three more goals followed in the second half courtesy of Reilly again, and before that Nicole Hughes and Tracey Hall.
Kilmore and Crossmolina shared the points in a 2-2 game played in Erris. The home side hit the ground running with a second minute Annie Lynskey goal and Kathrina Barrett doubled the advantage on 48 minutes.
Crossmolina kept probing and were rewarded with two late Fiona Gordon goals to take a share of the points.
