A pilot scheme is being launched to introduce more female participation at all ages into sport.
The pilot is planned to continue over the next five weeks with the hope of bringing girls to join a one day boot camp at Lahinch beach where they will join other girls across the membership.
The bootcamp runs as part of the official HerMoves campaign which involves team building, karate on the beach, surfing lessons and will finish with gentle yoga sessions.
In addition to this, the Official National Amateur Karate Association (O.N.A.K.A) will continue to develop their Women in Karate programme to support female membership from grass roots and increase participation across age groups and abilities.
