Mayo's Christy Ring Cup campaign has ended in another defeat, with Derry coming out on top in today's encounter.
Seven points separated the sides at half time, with Derry leading 0-13 to 0-6.
They pushed their lead further out throughout the second half and held on for a 0-30 to 1-11 win.
For Sligo, their hopes of a Christy Ring final were quenched by Meath who won by six at Markievicz Park.
Padraig Mannion's side got back to within a point with ten minutes to go, but Meath managed late scores for a 0-24 to 0-18 victory.
Derry's win sees them finish second in the table, while Sligo are fourth behind London on head to head.
London beat Tyrone in the day's other game, with the Ulstermen finishing second from bottom above winless Mayo.
