Former GAA President Dr Mick Loftus has died, aged 93.
Loftus was a member of the Mayo senior football panel that won the All-Ireland in 1951.
The Crossmolina native played for Mayo between 1949 and 1953 before embarking on a successful spell as a referee.
He was the official in charge of the 1965 and 1968 All-Ireland SFC finals.
Crossmolina Deel Rovers GAA have paid tribute to Dr. Mick saying he represented the club with great distinction on and off the field and was instrumental in developing the Deel Rovers over many decades.
Former Mayo GAA Chairman, current Connacht Council Delegate and member of the Crossmolin GAA Club Executive Liam Moffatt has today paid this tribute to the late Dr. Mick Loftus.
