Twenty goals were scored in Friday evening's round of the Mayo Women's Football League, with six teams in action.
Castlebar Town accounted for eight of that tally with a comprehensive win over Crossmolina, the clash between Conn Rangers and Kiltimagh Knock United saw seven goals, with KK edging it there, while a goal separated Kilmore and Straide and Foxford where visitors S&F were on top in a 2-3 encounter.
After this latest round of the league, three players are on eight goals for the season so far - Ava Keane (Castlebar Town), Leah McHugh (Conn Rangers) and Beth Roache (Swinford).
Keane had four goals on the board before the 16th minute in Town's clash with Crossmolina after Louise Dowling opened the scoring as early as the second minute. Leah Conway and two from Ann Tuohy completed the scoring there.
It was a closer affair down in Mount Falcon where Conn Rangers and Kiltimagh Knock United played out a very evenly contested match, leapfrogging each other with scores until KK got the decisive fourth goal and saw out the match to win 3-4.
KK's Shona Mahon netted on three minutes, having gone close in the first, with Conn replying a minute later through Ellie Ormsby. Conn led on 15 minutes through Emily Yeates, but like with the first score, the reply was almost immediate as Ellen Boyle hit the net on 17 for the visitors.
Conn took the lead again before half-time via Chloe McLoughlin, but Boyle completed her hat-trick in a 10-minute spell in the second half (that's seven goals in two games for her now) as KK held off their hosts to take full points.
S&F announced their arrival in Erris with a goal on six minutes through Lisa Doherty against Kilmore. The lead lasted six minutes when Liadh McGrath equalised.
The visitors took the lead into the break courtesy of Fiona Roache, who added her side's third on 55 minutes. McGrath pulled one back a minute later but S&F returned home with full points in the bag.
