Mayo goalkeeper Colm Reape has been named the GAA.ie Footballer of the Week.
The Knockmore man scores 0-3 from placed balls and made some important saves to deny Galway a first National Football League title since 1981.
Mayo won the game 0-14 to 0-11, winning the national title for the first time since 2019.
He joins players like Aidan O’Shea and Jack Carney who have won the award in recent weeks.
Sligo captain Niall Murphy was also nominated as he helped his county to a Division Four title hitting 1-4 against Wicklow on Saturday.
Dublin’s John Small was also up for the award as he scored 1-1 from defence in their Division 2 final victory over Derry.
