Tributes have been paid following the passing of Terence Egan of Claremorris Colts Rugby Club.

Terence was chairman of the club for many years and on a social media post paid tribute to him.

“It was with great shock and sadness that we learned of the sudden passing of Claremorris Colts RFC former chairman Terence Egan.

“Terence was at the helm for a couple of years and during that time he brought a renewed enthusiasm and professionalism to the club committee, but always had time to listen and give one of his gems of wisdom, he had a passion for the sport and this was evident with his presence at many home and away games.

“One of life’s true gentleman who will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. Condolences to his family and friends at this sad time from all at ‘The Colts’.”
