Ballinrobe Rugby have won the Connacht Junior 1B promotion play off final following victory over University of Galway today.

Jack Ormsby gave Ballinrobe the lead with the first try that was converted by Evan O'Brien,

Craig Hansberry and Liam Burke added tries with O'Brien converting both as well as a penalty to lead 22-12 at the break.

Ormsby and Hansberry crossed again for further tries in the second half to keep University of Galway at arm's length.

Another O'Brien penalty extended the lead to 22 points, before Galway scored the final try of the tie.
