Galway United remain top of the League of Ireland First Division after an emphatic win over Kerry FC lastnight.

The Munster side remain rock bottom in their first season, with just one point from four games.

Edward McCarthy netted a first half hat trick, with Robert Slevin and Francely Lomboto also scoring after the half hour mark to put Galway 5-0 up at half time.

Ibrahim Keita and Stephen Walsh grabbed a brace of goals each, while Ryan  Kelliher scored Kerry's only goal on 68 minutes.
