The West of Ireland launch of ‘Grassroots: The Second Half’ took place in Castle Bookshop in Castlebar last night.
There is no less than 12 contributions with strong Mayo connections part of this second volume.
The book is a gold mine of GAA tales spanning over 150 years and follows the publication of a successful first volume last year. This collection provides snapshots into the history of the GAA, recounted by the people at the heart of the action, whether those stories are happy or sad, sensational or ordinary.
PJ spoke to Michael D McAndrew on Sunday Sport about the book.
