Mayo woman Sinéad Diver won the women’s half marathon in Sydney yesterday.
The Belmullet native finished in 73:07 – a course record – and clear winner by over three minutes in a field of just under 3,000 women.
Over 36,000 runners and walkers took over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, marking the 20th anniversary of Australia’s largest running festival, Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
The scenic marathon is a candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors.
