The search goes on for a new Mayo Senior Hurling manager.
At last night’s Mayo County Board meeting it was revealed that none of the candidates interviewed for the position of Mayo senior hurling manager earlier this week ‘were deemed suitable’.
A sub-committee is now in place to head-hunt a manager.
Ballyhaunis clubman Derek Walsh stepped down as senior hurling manager at the end of July, after five years in the job, the highlight of which came when Mayo won the Nicky Rackard Cup at Croke Park in 2021 and they also reached the Christy Ring Cup Final earlier this year.
