Referees around County Roscommon have decided to withdraw their services from this weekend’s matches.
In the aftermath of an incident at an underage match in Ballyforan on Wednesday evening, which left one of their colleagues requiring medical attention, a meeting between referee representatives and Roscommon County Board took place on Thursday night.
The Roscommon Herald are reporting that it was decided that the referees would not officiate at this weekend’s matches.
The move means that all GAA games in the county will be postponed this weekend, including the final round of games in the senior, intermediate and Junior A football championship.
Roscommon County Board is expected to make a statement later this morning.
