Dublin ladies’ football supremo Mick Bohan and former Sligo, Offaly and Westmeath boss Pat Flanagan are the early front-runners to succeed Anthony Cunningham as Roscommon manager.
Cunningham informed officials he would not be seeking a fifth season, prompting the Rossies to begin the hunt for a new boss with the Irish Independent reporting that Bohan and Flanagan are among the names to be mentioned as possible replacements.
Another experienced manager, Liam Kearns, has also worked in the county recently with Clann na nGael. Others who could be considered include former Roscommon player Don Connellan, who steered Moycullen to an historic Galway title in 2020, and Liam Tully, who brought the Rossies’ U-20 side to an All-Ireland final in 2021.
