Castlerea's Lisa O'Rourke will fight for a gold medals at the World Boxing Championships in Istanbul this afternoon.

She will take to the ring after 4pm Irish time.

O'Rourke is poised to take on Helena Alcinda Panguane of Mozambique in the light middleweight decider.

She won her semi-final yesterday and is guaranteed at least a silver medal.

In addition to winning gold and becoming world champion, 100 thousand dollars are up for grabs for the boxer if she wins.
