The Mayo Sports Partnership is reminding sports clubs and groups that the deadline for applications for the Sport Small Grant Scheme is this Friday evening, 6th May.
Following the Covid pandemic, the Return to Sport scheme, supported by Sport Ireland, has a total fund of €120,000 available under three headings - the Covid-19 Support Fund, the participation fund and a Volunteer Training & Education fund.
Mayo Sports Partnernship Chairman, Councillor Michael Loftus says the last two years have seen sport organisations not only lose their income streams, but they have also lost members and volunteers.
He says he hopes this fund can, in some small way, help these groups in their efforts.
