MAYO AC results (number of category competitors/teams in brackets):
Mayo AC's eleven medal haul included a brilliant gold for John Brennan in 400 metres event in the M35 category. He was closing fast on race leader Rory Sheehan in the final metres, when the Monaghan Phoenix AC athlete stumbled and clipped the kerb, falling heavily just short of the line giving John the victory in 57:72. Fair play to John - his first concern was for Rory, who thankfully was ok though shaken and sadly finished 4th in 64:77.
