The Mayo Senior hurlers second competitive game takes place this evening Friday 21st January at 6pm against Leitrim GAA in the Connacht Hurling League Shield Final at the NUI Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome in Bekan. Mayo hurling manager Derek Walsh will still be without his Tooreen GAA contingents for this game.
Players from Westport GAA, Ballina Stephenites GAA, Castlebar Mitchels Hurling GAA and Ballyhaunis GAA will get a chance to impress the manager ahead of the opening round of the Allianz Hurling League. Mayo face Wicklow on 6th February in Ballina in their first Division 2B NHL game.
Manager Derek Walsh makes three changes to his starting 15, Mark Phillips Ballyhaunis GAA, Matthew Walsh Ballina Stephenites and Kealan Gallagher Westport GAA all get the nod. Keith Higgins will captain the team this evening
