Sligo’s Mona Mcsharry set another Irish record at the World Short Course Swimming Championships this afternoon.
The 21-year-old swam a time of 59.35 seconds in the 100m individual medley semi finals, finishing 13th overall.
The result means that she doesn’t progress to the final.
However, she has built great momentum ahead of her main event tomorrow, the 100 breaststroke.
