Sligo Rovers suffered a 4-1 defeat to Dundalk in the LOI Premier Division in Oriel Park last night.

It was a game that most felt Sligo Rovers needed to win to keep hold of third place as the league enters the final series of games.

Sean Murray’s strike on 12 minutes put Dundalk ahead, with Johnny Kenny equalising for Rovers two minutes later.

That was as good as in got for the Bit O Red as they now host Waterford on Saturday at The Showgrounds.
