Ireland start their bid to reach the Women's Rugby World Cup this evening.

Ciara Griffin captains the side to take on Spain in their opening game of the four-team tournament.

Ballinasloe and Connacht’s Beibhinn Parsons is among the starters along with Connacht teammate Nichola Fry, while the westerner’s Laura Feely is held in reserve.

Kick off in Parma is 5.00 - the winner of the tournament will qualify automatically for the World Cup, which was pushed back to next year due to Covid-19.
