Mayo athlete Sarah Quinn made history with the Irish team at the World Athletics Relay Championships in Poland last weekend.
The St Colman's South Mayo AC member was part of the 4x100m team that finished 10th at the World Relays after running 44.53 for 4th in their heat.
They were two places and 0.3 off Olympic qualification, but they did secure their spot at next year's World Championships in Oregon, the first Irish women's team in the 4x100m to achieve the feat.
The Ballinrobe sprinter and hurdler was also selected on the Irish 4 x 200m metre women's relay team that came second in their World Relay Championship final.
Sarah, Aoife Lynch, Kate Doherty, and Sophie Becker set a new national record of 1minute 35.93 seconds.
Sarah Quinn has been speaking to Michael D. McAndrew following her monumental weekend in Poland.
