The Carnacon woman says it was ‘lovely recognition’ to be shortlisted in the forwards for the AFL Team of the Year after a disappointing end to the season with the Greater Western Sydney Giants.
The Irish AFL trailblazer reflected on her successful return from a triple leg break, outlined by her 10 goals for the Giants this season.
The 39-year-old also talked about the major blow the club was dealt following the loss of Cork’s Brid Stack at the beginning of the year through injury.
She revealed that her Mayo days are done, wished the Mayo management well in 2021 and looked forward to the return of club football with her beloved Carnacon.
