A former Galway footballer has come up with an initiative to acknowledge the sacrifices of frontline workers over the past year.

Galway Bay FM's GAA commentator Tommy Devane has asked all thirty-two counties to supply one county jersey accompanied by a short message of thanks.

The jersey along with their message will then be framed in Galway and sent to a hospital or care setting of the county’s choice.

He is assisted in this campaign by former Mayo footballer Mark Butler, the Executive VP of Merit Medical.

The two joined Michael D. McAndrew on the Sunday Sports Show to explain this novel endeavour.
