Ireland head-coach Andy Farrell has named his team to face Wales in their Guinness Six Nations opener on Sunday.

Munster's Tadhg Beirne has been selected in the second-row with Josh van der Flier selected at openside flanker.

James Lowe has got the nod to start on the wing over Jordan Larmour while captain Johnny Sexton is fit to start at out-half.

Cian Healy, Rob Herring and Andrew Porter will make up the front-row with Beirne joining James Ryan in the second-row.

CJ Stander is at number-eight with Peter O'Mahony and van der Flier the flankers.

Sexton is paired in the half-backs with Conor Murray while Garry Ringrose and Robbie Henshaw are in midfield.

Hugo Keenan is at full-back with Keith Earls and Lowe on the wings.
