The newly elected Chairman of Mayo LGFA Des Philips joined Michael D. McAndrew on the Sunday Sports Show yesterday afternoon.

He says that the first and 'most urgent' job for the new County Board is the appointment of a new manager to replace the outgoing Peter Leahy.

The Mayo LGFA chairman confirmed that advertisements for the role are being sent out today and he expects the position to be filled by the 1st of February.

The Kilmovee Shamrocks clubman also discussed the impact of the pandemic on club activity, his ambitions for Mayo LGFA going forward and the possibility of Carnacon players returning to the fold.
